When you are in the hospital your care will be primarily under the direction of Dr. El Shahawy. If your problems requires a specialist or a second opinion, he will discuss it with you and proceed with the best interest of your health care in mind.
When you are discharged from the hospital you will have a comprehensive visit with the doctor. At that time we want to be sure that you have a chance to discuss your status and understand any directions that you have been given. You will be given an appointment for your return office visit. If for some reason the appointment has not been made for you, we encourage you to call for an appointment, before leaving the Hospital.
